USMEF Participates In Buyer Showcase At Disneyland Japan

USMEF members recently displayed and distributed U.S. beef and pork product samples at the “Great American Regional Cuisine Buyer Showcase” held Wednesday (June 21) in Tokyo.

Oriental Land, a group that operates 114 foodservice outlets located throughout Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea, organized the showcase as a way of displaying potential food items that can be used by restaurants and vendors throughout the park. Requirements for these items were that they be safe, stable, high quality and consumer friendly.

USMEF members Farmland Foods, Hastings Foods, Johnsonville Sausage and Sara Lee Foods exhibited their products and provided U.S. beef and pork merchandising and safety information to attendees. Their goal was to establish a desire for U.S. meat and its quality, taste and convenient uses at restaurants in the parks.

USMEF was among 27 associations and companies that took part in the showcase.
