USMEF Members Traveling With Beef Caravan Can Meet Japanese Buyers
Traveling with the beef caravan in Japan is a great way for USMEF members to meet key buyers and traders. The caravan is visiting several Japanese cities to conduct seminars, strengthening buyers’ understanding of the positive aspects of using U.S. beef.
The caravan starts Sept. 20 in Tokyo and then stops in Nagoya (Sept. 21), Osaka (Sept. 22), Fukuoka (Sept. 27) and Sapporo (Sept. 29). USMEF members are encouraged to attend any of these seminars to mingle with buyers and traders to increase business opportunities. It also gives Japanese buyers a chance to meet U.S. beef producers.
USMEF will exhibit and explain the 17 U.S. beef cuts developed for the Japanese market. These cuts effectively utilize the limited supply of U.S. cattle eligible for Japan.
USMEF members are also invited to attend a reception Sept. 19 at the premier Hotel Okura for trade members and key influencers to thank them for their loyalty to U.S. beef. A renowned Texas chef will help prepare a special dinner featuring U.S. beef. This is a unique opportunity for USMEF members to network and show the U.S. industry solidly stands by its product and is invested in the market.
USMEF Japan can help members with hotel reservations and provide additional information. Contact USMEF Japan Director Greg Hanes at ghanes@usmef.org.
