USMEF Helps U.S. Beef Return To Second Largest Beef Bowl Chain
U.S. beef is back on the menu at Matsuya Foods, the second largest Japanese-style beef bowl fast food chain in Japan with 733 outlets. At least 50 stores will be serving U.S. beef by Jan. 25.
A USMEF-supported sales promotion featuring U.S. beef short plate in a yakiniku dish will mark the return of U.S. beef at Matsuya Foods. The USMEF “We Care” logo is featured on posters, banners and menu cards for the short plate promotion.
Matsuya Foods representatives said U.S. beef is expected to improve the taste and the quality of their dishes. They recognize the quality and taste of U.S. beef is better than beef imported from other countries.
Once the company is able to secure a high volume of U.S. beef, it plans to use it for yakiniku meals and beef bowls in all its restaurants.
