Trade Shows And Seminars Show Foodservice Industry “We Care”
USMEF took the “We Care” campaign out on the road to three trade shows and two seminars in October, reaching more than 11,000 foodservice representatives and handing out more than 2,500 samples of U.S. beef.
The “We Care” campaign is designed to assure trade members and consumers that U.S. beef is safe to cook and consume. The campaign also provide information on using U.S. beef cuts profitably in addition to the steps the U.S. beef industry takes to produce product just for Japan.
“Trade shows and seminars provide a way to be proactive in providing the foodservice industry with updated information and answer questions they have,” said Greg Hanes, USMEF Japan director.” Since resumption, U.S. beef distribution has mainly been to the foodservice industry, so we recognize how important it is to reach this sector.”
USMEF participated in the 52nd Foodservice Industry Show in Tokyo, Inter-Food Osaka and Toho Trade Show. Seminars were held for the Osaka Foodservice Association, the largest foodservice industry organization in Osaka, and the Seiun Meat Kai conference in Kagoshima. Seiun Meat Kai is the alumni association of the Takegishi Meat School and has more than 5,000 members.
