Osaka Food Show Generates More Interest In U.S. Beef

After tasting U.S. beef boneless short ribs and ribeye roll, restaurant industry visitors at the Inter-Food Osaka show inquired about future purchases.

The two-day show sponsored by the Japan Management Association was a prime opportunity for USMEF to promote U.S. beef and the “We Care” campaign to meat traders in the Osaka area. The USMEF “We Care” campaign is reintroducing U.S. beef to Japanese traders and consumers by assuring them of the U.S. industry’s commitment to the highest safety and quality.

“Visitors who tried U.S. beef commented on its flavor and tenderness,” said USMEF Japan Marketing Specialist Satoshi Kato. “Two USMEF member companies participated in the show at the USMEF booth and we received many inquiries about purchasing U.S. beef.”

More than 4,000 people, including retailers, restaurant buyers, distributors and manufacturers, attended the show, Oct. 17-18.
