NPB, NPPC Meet With USMEF To Discuss Technical Issues
Eight representatives from the National Pork Board (NPB) and National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) met with USMEF Export Services staff Tuesday and Wednesday (April 17-18) in Denver to share information about topics such as swine research, animal welfare and food safety.
USMEF opened the session with the latest information on U.S. pork opportunities in international markets and provided a future outlook for international trade. Residues, natural programs and food microbiology also were discussed.
This is the second year these teams came together to discuss technical issues. USMEF will continue to work with U.S. pork industry partners to resolve issues and expand export market opportunities.
