Illinois Groups Will Hold Livestock Business Development Conference In July An Illinois Livestock Business Development Conference has been scheduled for July 15-16 by a coalition of animal agriculture groups including the following USMEF members: the Illinois Pork Producers Association, the Illinois Department of Agriculture, the Illinois Corn Marketing Board, the Illinois Beef Association, the Illinois Soybean Checkoff Board and the Illinois Farm Bureau. The Conference, at the Radisson Hotel in Bloomington, Illinois. will attract lenders, consultants, veterinarians, and researchers as well as producers. The preliminary agenda includes John Atkins of Lean Meats Limited in New Zealand who will talk on the subject of the success of New Zealand lamb exports. Other speakers will discuss branded marketing strategies for meat and dairy products and animal handling and environmental issues.
