AgOTC Says Automated Export System Changes Threaten Agriculture Exports

Changes requested by the Department of Homeland Security to a new Automated Export System would create procedural barriers, impose financial penalties and threaten the competitiveness of U.S. agriculture exporters, the Agriculture Ocean Transportation Coalition (AgOTC) said Monday (April 3) in a letter sent to the U.S. agriculture secretary and the U.S. commerce secretary.

Unused Space Must Be Lined Out Before Submission To AMS

Exporters should note that, according to FSIS Notice 9000.1, VIII, E 3, they must line out any unused space on the FSIS Form 9060-5 before it is submitted to the Agricultural Marketing Service for approval of export documents for product being exported under the Export Verification programs.
