Export Requirements Note Zero Tolerance For Bone Fragments In Beef

The export requirements for Hong Kong in the FSIS Export Library have been updated with the statement, “Hong Kong maintains a zero tolerance for bones and bone fragments.”

This has been posted as a reminder and warning to U.S. exporters shipping beef to Hong Kong. While not official, it has been indicated facilities found in violation of this policy will be de-listed by the government of Hong Kong and no longer allowed to export beef to Hong Kong.
