European Union: Feeding Records No Longer Verification Option for Quota B
The USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service has issued an announcement regarding the ARC 1040 Livestock Feeding Claims Audit Program. Effective Jan. 30, 2010, the submission of feeding records will no longer be allowed as an option to verify cattle under the High Quality Beef Quota B for the EU. This option was available only during the start-up transition period, not to exceed a six-month time frame. The ARC 1040 Work Instruction, Verification for EU HQB includes information addressing the verification of feeding practices and rations.
