NORWAY: Consumers willing to pay more for quality beef
A Norwegian project, "Quality, information and labelling", aimed at determining how best to market domestic beef, has found that customers were most interested in how tender and juicy a cut was, and would happily pay more to be sure of getting what they wanted.

Ninety-nine percent of rendering and feed industry firms are in full compliance with government guidelines regarding feed production and the feeding of mammalian protein to ruminants, according to an update issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Tuesday.
