Egypt Alters Production Date Labeling Requirement
Egypt Alters Production Date Labeling Requirement
Egypt’s labeling requirements now require the month of production for meat and poultry products to be spelled out or abbreviated.
In other words, DO NOT use a numerical date such as 03/10. Instead, exporters should use March 2010 or MAR 2010.
This change is now reflected in the FSIS Export Library.
Please contact USMEF Export Services at 303-623-6328 with any questions.
