Revised Information On U.S. Beef Exports To Egypt Online

Export information for Egypt, which opened its market to U.S. beef last week, has been updated on the FSIS Export Library of Requirements. The U.S.-Egypt agreement, according to a USDA press release, requires age and origin requirements under a USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Beef Export Verification (BEV) program.  Plants can add information on Egypt to existing Mexico-Canada BEV programs and re-submit to the Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS). The new information includes certification statements that must be typed in the remarks section of FSIS Form 9060-5.
