USDA Announces That Egypt Lifts Ban On U.S. Beef Products

USDA Secretary Mike Johanns announced today (March 21) that Egypt is immediately resuming imports of U.S. beef and beef products from animals less than 30 months of age.

The agreement, according to a USDA press release, requires age and origin requirements under a USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Beef Export Verification (BEV) program.  No other details are currently available.
