USMEF Promotes U.S. Meat At American Independence Day Festival

Cowboys, horses and barbecue combined in the Western Bash Festival last week at the Casa de Campo hotel in La Romana where USMEF introduced more than 150 visitors to all things American – especially U.S. beef sirloin and prime rib, and U.S. pork ribs.

Guests were encouraged to “try the flavor of U.S. meat” at the exhibition designed to introduce Dominicans to the superior flavor and tenderness of U.S. pork and beef.

“Holding this promotion around the time of America’s Independence Day and using an American cowboy theme helped attract guests and called special attention to the U.S. meat items,” said USMEF Mexico Director Gilberto Lozano, who attended the promotion.

USMEF also met with five other hotels and popular restaurants to initiate future promotions in the Dominican Republic.
