Dan Halstrom Offers Beef Export Outlook on Cattlemen to Cattlemen

While participating in the Cattle Industry Annual Convention in New Orleans, USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom joined NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen host Kevin Ochsner for a recap of the record-breaking beef export results of 2022 and to offer an outlook for the coming year. Halstrom explains that will tight beef supplies will make it difficult to match last year's record volume, he is encouraged by the elimination of COVID restrictions on restaurant operations, especially in Asia, which still hampered foodservice demand through much of 2022. Halstrom also emphasizes the importance of promoting U.S. beef in a wide range of markets to ensure that demand growth is broad-based.
