Codex meeting on food hygiene set for Oct. 30

Public Meeting Oct. 30 to Discuss Codex Food Hygiene Topics

A public meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 30, to provide information and receive public input on agenda items and draft United States positions that will be discussed at the 40th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (Codex), which will be held in Guatemala City, Guatemala, from Dec. 1 to 5, 2008.

The Oct. 30 meeting will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Room 1A001, Harvey W. Wiley Building, FDA, CFSAN, 5100 Paint Branch Parkway, College Park, Md.

The Office of Under Secretary for Food Safety of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are sponsoring the meeting.
