USMEF Attracts Importers And Buyers To U.S. Meat At Large Food Show
Food and Hotel China (FHC) Beijing, the only trade exhibition for imported food in the Chinese capital city, is an ideal place for USMEF to introduce meat importers and buyers in Northern China to high quality U.S. pork and beef.
USMEF will supply information about safety protocols followed by U.S. pork and beef producers to ensure U.S. meat is among the safest in the world. USMEF member companies will have samples of U.S. meat products so buyers can look at different cuts to see what best fits their business needs.
The sixth annual FHC Beijing takes place June 7-9 at the China World Trade Centre. Last year’s exhibition attracted almost 7,000 visitors to exhibitors from 15 countries. Beijing has more than 13 million people and with surrounding areas it offers a market of more than 50 million.
With Beijing hosting the Winter Olympics in 2008, there is a great deal of investment in international goods to prepare for this mega event.
China is the most populous country in the world and the fourth-largest market for exports of U.S. pork and pork variety meat.
A USDA delegation was in Beijing this past weekend for a second time in an attempt to finalize terms with China on U.S. beef trade resumption.
