Update On Plant Suspensions
Periodically, USMEF will provide information regarding the facilities suspended by China as well as the facilities which have received one strike for a violation of the Chinese residue and pathogen standards. Please keep in mind that facilities with one strike can continue to export pork to China, but an additional one or more strikes would result in suspension.
The current list of facilities which have been de-listed from China can be accessed at: http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Regulations_&_Policies/China_Requirements/index.asp.
The list of suspended pork facilities includes:
Est. 85B, Cargill Meat Solutions, Beardstown, IL
Est. 244W, Tyson Fresh Meats, Waterloo, IA, effective June 1, 2007.
Est. 85O, Cargill Meat Solutions, Ottumwa, IA, effective August 7, 2007
Est. 791, Hatfield Quality Meats, Hatfield, PA, effective August 15, 2007.
Est. 17564, Indiana Packers Corp., Delphi, IN, effective August 15, 2007.
Est. 1620, Quality Pork Processors Inc. , Austin, MN, effective January 8, 2008
