Chinese Officials To Visit U.S. Pork Plants

USMEF understands that a delegation of six officials of China’s Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) is en route to the United States to visit and audit U.S. pork plants that have been de-listed for ractopamine violations.

Plants that have not contacted AQSIQ as of Monday (Nov. 26) regarding the U.S. plant visits should direct inquiries to Zhao Bao Qing (surname Zhao) at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C. He can be reached by phone at (202) 280-4890 (cell) and (202) 625-3359 (office) or by e-mail at zhao_baoqing2008@yahoo.com.
