Beef Labeling Requirements Updated
The labeling requirements for beef destined to Chile were updated today (Aug. 9) by FSIS. Each carton must contain the establishment number, name, packing address, gross weight, net weight and number of cuts in the carton on the label in addition to the day, month and year of slaughter and the USDA quality grade designation.
The protective covering of the individual beef cuts inside the carton must include the same information in addition to the name of the cut.

Eligible Beef Plants List Updated
