USMEF Appoints Chief Financial Officer

Ronald M. Goss will join the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) as chief financial officer on Feb. 26. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Goss is both a certified public accountant and a certified fraud examiner. Most recently he served as chief financial officer for the Weintraub Organization, and previously held the same position at the Third Way Center, both in Colorado. He also worked as an auditor and consultant for the prestigious accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand, in Los Angeles.

“The complex financial environment of an international organization like ours demands a dynamic and competent professional at the helm,” said USMEF President and CEO Philip Seng. ”Ron Goss is just that: an experienced CFO who can step straight into the position and ensure not only a seamless transition but the continuation of USMEF’s financial integrity and efficiency.”

Goss, who will report directly to Seng, will be responsible for directing the financial management system to insure accurate, current and complete disclosure of all financial transactions. He also will oversee the continued implementation of effective controls and accountability for contributions received from USMEF funding sources.
