Caribbean Team Breakfast May 24 in Chicago

USMEF Caribbean Consultant Liz Wunderlich wants to extend a warm invitation to USMEF exporter members to a special breakfast with buyers and chefs from the Caribbean who are attending the National Restaurant Association show in Chicago. The May 24 breakfast will run from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. at the Blackstone Hotel, Mercat a la Planxa Restaurant on Michigan Avenue.  Hosted jointly by USMEF, the U.S. Dairy Export Council and the Caribbean Basin Agricultural Trade Office, the event will feature a tapas-style menu and two presentations on food trends as they pertain to meat and cheese.  To sign up or for a copy of the invitation and a list of invitees, contact Liz Wunderlich at 830-997-6319 or wunderlc@hctc.net.

Meet the Buyers — HRI, Retail, Traders, Processors

The day before USMEF’s Board of Directors Meeting & Product Showcase begins in St. Louis, USMEF is organizing a Meet the Buyers opportunity for USMEF members. On Tuesday, May 25, 26 retail, trader, processor and restaurant meat buyers from Mexico will be ready to meet U.S. beef and pork suppliers from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Sage Restaurant. Members wishing to attend should contact Tammy Connolly at 303-623-6328 or tconnolly@usmef.org.
