FSIS Notice Allows Import Of Live Cattle Into United States

FSIS sent out Notice 76-07 on Nov. 16 informing FSIS personnel about the receipt, slaughter and inspection of cattle, bison, sheep and goats imported from Canada. This notice cancels FSIS Notice 14-07 and updates the instructions for inspection of these animals. The notice identifies live cattle born after March 1, 1999 imported from Canada are eligible for slaughter. For more information, see FSIS Notice 76-07.
