Belize Lifts Restrictions on U.S. Beef

Belize Lifts Restrictions on U.S. Beef

Belize has removed restrictions on imports of U.S. beef, including the 30-month age limitation. As a result, participation in the LT30 EV Program is no longer required in order to export beef and beef products to Belize.

If your company has an approved LT30 EV Program to export beef to Belize, the following changes are in order:

  1. Remove reference to Belize from your quality manual. The revised quality manuals do not need to be submitted for review.
  1. Remove reference to Belize from your product list at the next revision.
  1. Notify the ARC Branch if your company wishes to withdraw from participating in the LT30 Program completely.

If you have any questions, please contact Courtney Heller at 303-623-6328 or cheller@usemf.org.
