AgTC Surveys Shippers

The Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC) sent out a 60-Second Ag Shipping Survey to its members yesterday (Sept. 22). If you did not receive that message, please take a few moments out of your day to respond to this one (ExecutiveDirector@agtrans.org) so that the coalition can get a current snapshot of the status of shipping issues facing our industry. Responses are confidential. The questions are as follows:

1. Are you able to get all the DRY CONTAINERS you need?

    a. Where do you need them?

    b. How long are you waiting?

    c. How does this compare with six months ago?

2. Are you able to get all the REEFER CONTAINERS you need?

    a. Where do you need them?

    b. How long are you waiting?

    c. How does this compare with six months ago?

3. Including surcharges, are you paying more or less total freight charges than six months ago?

4. What is your forecast for the next few months?

5. Are carriers’ “no doc-no load,” AES data submission policies and penalties changing the way you ship? How?
