Australian Beef Exports Down In August
Australia exported 5.4 percent less beef in August, 2002, than in August, 2001, according to figures released today by Australia’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
The August total was 80,170 mt down from 82,037 mt in July. Australian beef exports to Japan were down 17% compared to August 2001.
