U.S. Envoy Hopes Beef Report Will Restore Japanese Confidence
U.S. Ambassador to Japan Thomas Schieffer on Friday gave farm minister Shoichi Nakagawa a general overview of an investigative report on U.S. exports to Japan of beef containing banned material and hoped that the document will help restore Japanese consumers' confidence in U.S. beef.
