Japan says U.S. beef talks not yet in final stage
While acknowledging that two days of talks between U.S. and Japanese negotiators in Tokyo moved Japan "one step forward" to resuming imports of U.S. beef, Japanese Agriculture Minister Shoichi Nakagawa told reporters Friday "I don't think we've entered the final stage," of reaching a full accord.

Japanese Gov't to discuss U.S. beef with consumers starting April 11
The government said Monday it will discuss with consumers ongoing talks with the United States on Washington's request that Japan lift its reinstated import ban on U.S. beef.
