USMEF Leads Industry Delegation On Export Markets Tour

USMEF President and CEO Philip Seng is leading a delegation of industry leaders this week on a trip to South Korea, China and Japan. Members of the delegation include American Meat Institute President Patrick Boyle, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association CEO Terry Stokes, National Pork Producers Council CEO Neil Dierks and National Meat Association CEO and Executive Director Barry Carpenter.

The delegation will have meetings at the U.S. Embassy and meet with local industry leaders and government officials in all three countries. These meetings and briefings will permit the members of the delegation to see first hand the conditions that exist on the ground in each market and gain a better understanding of how these factors shape USMEF market strategies.

According to Seng, industry leaders can better appreciate opportunities and challenges when they visit export markets. They also gain a new context for their understanding of the United States as a major exporter of beef and pork to these important markets.
