Japan wants U.S. to ban export of Canadian beef
As the United States begins to re-open its borders to Canadian beef, Japanese officials will press America to ban Canadian beef coming through the States and bound for Japan, citing concerns over mad cow disease.

S.Korea says U.S. cows positive for blue tongue
South Korea said on Wednesday that eight of 762 live cattle imported from the United States had tested positive for blue tongue, an insect-borne, viral disease that is harmless to humans but possibly fatal to cows.

9th mad cow case is Hiroshima bull
A 21-month-old Holstein bull slaughtered last week in Hiroshima Prefecture was confirmed Tuesday by health ministry officials as the nation's ninth case of mad cow disease.
