Japan to finalize U.S. beef imports deal by summer
TOKYO, April 24 (Reuters) - Japan and the United States agreed on Saturday to aim for a solution by this summer to Japan's ban on U.S. beef imports, a Japanese official said.

Japan still wants US mad cow checks after accord
TOKYO, April 26 (Reuters) - Japan is sticking to its demand that the United States check all slaughtered cattle for mad cow disease following this weekend's agreement to work to solve the trade dispute, a senior farm ministry official said on Monday.
