Japanese minister under fire over U.S. beef checks
Japan's Agriculture Minister Shoichi Nakagawa admitted Monday that government inspections of U.S. beef processing facilities were not conducted until after Japan reopened its market to U.S. beef, despite a government statement that such checks should occur before a resumption of imports.
