WASHINGTON, March 14 (Reuters) - With a highly contagious poultry disease spreading in California, Mexico expanded its poultry import ban to include those from Idaho, Oregon and Utah, government and industry officials said on Friday.

USDA reports that year-to-date fiscal 2003 US agricultural exports equal $19.7 billion, just under the $19.8 billion exported in the first 4 months of fiscal year 2002. But, cumulative US agricultural imports in the same period reached $14.9 billion, an 11-percent gain over last year.
