US, Japan to work to resume beef trade-Zoellick
TOKYO, Feb 11 (Reuters) - The United States and Japan agreed on Wednesday to try to find a way to end a ban on imports of U.S. beef imposed after an outbreak of mad cow disease, Trade Representative Robert Zoellick said on Wednesday.

Japan said it wants the U.S. to test for mad cow all of its slaughtered cattle bound for Japan, adding that the safety of consumers is a top priority for the government, Japan's agriculture ministry said in a statement.
