Russia threatens to ban meat transiting Lithuania
Russia may stop meat being transhipped into the country via Lithuania because some of it could be coming from origins on a banned list due to health and safety fears, a top veterinary official said on Friday.
Cattle producers in Australia will pay $5 per head starting Jan. 1, 2006, compared to $3.50, to market Australian beef worldwide, according to Agriculture Minister Peter McGauran.
