Japan, industry, pols offer mixed reactions to USDA testing plan
Japanese officials said they will keep the country's borders closed to U.S. beef, despite USDA's Monday announcement that it was ordering at a ten-fold increase in its annual testing for bovine spongiform encephalopathy.

UPDATE 1-NAFTA panel faults Mexico on duty against US beef
WASHINGTON, March 16 (Reuters) - A North America Free Trade Agreement dispute panel on Tuesday ruled that Mexico had failed to prove that U.S. beef shipments were injuring Mexico's industry, a decision that could force that country to lift anti-dumping duties against the farm product.
