USMEF Adopts "Full Course" Approach In Singapore
With the limitations of small volume imports, USMEF worked with USDA and the trade to expand the exposure of U.S. meat in Singapore by using a "full course" approach in a USA Fair promotion taking place Aug. 8-16 at Isetan Supermarket.
The promotion showcases complete dishes featuring U.S. beef and pork in the home meal replacement section in addition to fresh cuts at the meat counter.
USMEF offered shoppers free samples of U.S. beef roast and U.S. pork ham and sausages. The promotion rounded out the “full course” theme with desserts made with U.S. red meat like sweet pork jerky and beef balls with fillings.
USMEF produced point-of-sale materials to attract consumer attention. These materials then will be given as a premium gift to loyal U.S. beef customers of the steak chain Stuart Anderson Black Angus in Singapore at the end of the promotion period.
