Argentina's Jan.-Sept. Beef Exports Total $508 Million

Argentina exported $508 million of beef in the first nine months of 2003, according to the Argentinean government agency Senasa. The South American nation shipped 245,472 mt of beef products to 62 countries, 17 percent more than the first nine months of 2002. The European Union took 25,299 mt valued at $158 million under the Hilton import quota program and 121,753 mt ($215 million) out of quota.
