ARC Branch Announces Livestock Feeding Claims Audit Program

The Audit, Review and Compliance (ARC) Branch of the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service has announced a new Livestock Feeding Claim Audit Program. This program establishes requirements U.S. companies must meet in order for the ARC Branch to verify their livestock feeding claims, which may also be verified through a USDA Process Verified Program.

Meat and meat products derived from cattle that meet the European Union High Quality Beef and Bison feeding claim are eligible for certification by FSIS for export to the European Union and Switzerland as High Quality Beef and Bison.

An official listing has been posted of approved programs that have been found in conformance with the requirements of Livestock Feeding Claims Audit Program. These suppliers have been audited and approved by AMS. If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact Courtney Heller at 303-623-6328 or cheller@usmef.org.
