AgTC Reefer Options Survey

As the industry looks for solutions to the container availability/vessel space crisis, USMEF urges exporters to respond to an Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC) survey to help in the search for solutions and options. Consult the survey online and return it via fax (202-783-4422) or email (ExecutiveDirector@AgTrans.org).

On Friday, June 20, 2008, the AgTC convened approximately 40 agriculture exporters facing significant constraints in the availability of reefer containers and slots on ships. The purpose was to determine if there is sufficient interest to explore alternative shipping options. It was agreed that the AgTC would be the independent entity to collect information that will be required to move forward. This will be achieved through the AgTC survey.

All information collected will be maintained in complete confidence by the AgTC. The data will be aggregated so that the numbers show the total volumes and list of origins and destinations without revealing any individual company information. Call the AgTC at 202-783-3333 for answers to any questions.
