AgriTalk Speaks with Industry Leaders During USMEF Activities in Japan

While participating in activities marking the 45th anniversary of USMEF's Tokyo office, Cattlemen's Beef Board Chair Norman Voyles, a seventh generation grain and cattle producer from Martinsville, Ind., and USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom joined AgriTalk host Chip Flory for a discussion of the Japanese market. Both noted that while demand for U.S. beef is robust in Japan, the restaurant sector has not fully recovered from Japan's COVID restrictions. Further growth in foodservice demand is anticipated as restaurant traffic continues to rebound.
