Branded Products Promotion Program
Want to Develop International Markets for Your Products?
Consider the USMEF Branded Products Promotion Program. The USMEF Branded Products Promotion Program provides up to 50% matching funds for eligible expenses to companies that wish to promote their products in international markets. USMEF is accepting applications for its branded promotion program for U.S. companies to promote their red meat products. Small, for-profit U.S. companies carrying a commodity brand containing at least 50% red meat are eligible for program funds. Participating companies must comply with SBA small business size definitions as outlined on page 1 of the application. In addition, applications are accepted from agricultural cooperatives (not subject to small business size) that own a red meat brand.
For this program, the USMEF fiscal year is January 1 through December 31, and applications will be accepted as long as funds are available during this time. These funds can be used to conduct the following activities:
Trade Shows & Exhibits
Booth fees and displays
Shipment of materials
Promotional/educational materials used at the show
Overseas travel for two company representatives
Demonstrators and translators
In-Store Promotions
POS materials
Cooking demonstrations
Shipment of materials
Demonstration staff

Companies do not have to be members of USMEF to participate in the program. A 5% administrative fee is charged on funds awarded, which is returned if no funds are awarded.
